Omani Sherbet was traditionally made with eggs and milk and then diluted, however, modern Omanis have accepted the new way of making this sherbet.
This is similar to our masala milk except that this has more vanilla custardy flavor. My son liked this one a lot so I assume this is kid approved.
2 cups Whole fat milk
1 tbsp vanilla custard powder
2 tspn sugar
1 tspn pistachios powdered
1 tspn almond powder
1 tspn cashewnuts powder
1 pinch of saffron
1 tspn cardamom powder (optional)
1) Mix the custard powder with some cold water and dissolve it to ensure there are no lumps
2) Add this custard powder to the milk, along with other ingredients
3) Heat on low flame stirring constantly. When the custard starts coating the back of the spoon switch off.
4) Chill this in refrigerator and serve with more pistachios and saffron on the top.
