Garnished Rice/ Turkish Pilaf with pine nuts and raisins

Turkish recipes are all about beautiful presentation and this rice dish does full justice and beautifies the entire table on its own




Ingredients 
2 cups long grained Basmati rice
1 onion finely chopped
2 tomatoes grated
1 tspn garlic paste
1 tspn yogurt
1 tbsp black currants
1 tbsp pine nuts
2 tbsp Clarified Butter/ Butter/ Olive Oil
salt to taste
Method
1) Wash and soak the rice for 20 min. 
2) In a pan heat the butter, add the onions, garlic and saute them until it is soft. Add the tomato paste and saute until it is completely dry
3) Add the rice, yogurt , salt and 4 cups water. Cover and let it cook
4) In another pan, heat little butter , add the raisin and pine nuts and saute it for few minutes
5) Garnish this on the cooked rice and serve

Beautiful presentation! I like rice dishes but I am not very fond of nuts in it. Pilaf looks yummy.
