The snack is very popular maharashtrian fasting food option. Usually made in round discs these are deceptively tasty and addictive. They also work well with kids as they are sweet in taste. Making them in this form tricked many to think they were regular French fries.
It is a good light meal option on its own.
Ingredients ( 1 serving)1 medium sweet potato
4 tspn sugar
1 tspn Clarified Butter/ Ghee
Method
1) Peel the sweet potato and chop it as fries. Keep it in water.

2) In a shallow frying pan, add a teaspoon of clarified butter.
3) Add the chopped sweet potatoes. Saute it for 5-8 min. They should look slightly translucent.
4) Add sugar and continuing sauteing until the sugar dissolves and slightly caramelizes and coats the fries.
Enjoy these with tea or coffee or as a light meal on its own
